We have five therapy rooms and one seminar room each individually named after places in the world that are important to us. 
Alba - North Finchley (Residents)

Bright and airy, The Alba Room. Its name derived from a city in Romania, is perfect for relationship or one to one work. One of our residents rooms for block bookings: AM 8am to 3pm / PM 3pm to 9pm.

Beauly - North Finchley (Residents)

Our bright spacious seminar room is named after a village in beautiful Highlands of Scotland. It is perfect for workshops and seminars holding up to 14 people. Equipped with a TV screen and latest chrome mirroring technology for power points and visual aids. Beauly can be booked for all day workshops/seminars, over weekends, as well as on an hourly basis.

Nakuru - North Finchley (Members)

Named after the capital city of Nakuru County in Kenya, The Nakuru Room is warm and intimate, perfect for one to one work. Nakuru is one of our members rooms that can be booked on an hourly basis for one-off or long term bookings.

Nordbahn - North Finchley (Members)

The Nordbahn Room, derives its name from a municipality in Brandenburg, North of Berlin. It is a cosy and bright room, ideal for relationship and one to one work. Nordbahn is one of our members rooms that can be booked on an hourly basis for one-off or long term bookings.

Udupi - North Finchley (Residents)

The Udupi Room, named after a small town in Karnataka state, India is our most spacious therapy room. It is perfect for supervision groups as well as relationship, family and one to one work. One of our residents rooms for block bookings: AM 8am to 3pm / PM 3pm to 9pm.

Obu - North Finchley (Residents)

The Obu Room, acquired its name from a town in Japan. Cosy and warm, it is ideal for relationship and one to one work. One of our residents rooms for block bookings: AM 8am to 3pm / PM 3pm to 9pm.

Residents


During COVID-19 residents rooms are booked in four slots:

  • Morning (am) 8am-11am and 11am-2pm £11 per hour
  • Afternoon (pm) 2pm-5pm and 5pm-9pm £12 per hour
In addition to taking an am/pm slot residents can book rooms for additional ad hoc sessions depending on availability. Benefits of residency:
  • Moving your practice? 10% discount for first three months
  • Consultation on private practice
  • Listing on our Google optimised therapist website page (£50 annual fee)
  • Annual in house CPD – two-day experiential and explorative workshops on a range of issues exploring diversity and intersectionality
  • Free Access to our 'let’s get uncomfortable' events
  • 10% discount on all other events, workshops and groups
  • 1 hour annually with Pretish or Shammi to reflect on your practice
  • Weekly Yoga Friday at 8.30 am in person/via Zoom facilitated by Deb - an experienced yoga teacher and therapist
  • Pre covid – our kitchen was a hub for therapists to grab a coffee/ tea, a biscuit or some fruit, all fully provided for, and to have a quick chat with another therapist. We hope this will resume in the near future
  • Free Wifi
  • Discount on the Beauly Room and Aashna for groups, workshops and events
  • Access to our Library and online data base of the growing resources on race, culture and intersectionality and copies of BACP Therapy Today and UKCP New Psychotherapist

About our rooms


We have five therapy rooms and one seminar room each individually named after places in the world that are important to us. Each room has been thoughtfully created to reflect and embrace culture and diversity. And each therapy room has an original piece of artwork that reflects its cultural inspiration. Each room will have a glass vase with fresh green stems provided weekly by our local florist. The space is available to use from 7:00am- 10:00 pm Monday – Sunday. Weekend rentals are available from a single room to the whole practice. See our Residents and Members offers.




COVID-19 - Practice Safety


To ensure the safety of all who use Aashna we have the following in place for both therapists and clients:

  • Face masks in communal areas
  • Hand cleaning and sanitiser stations, hand sanitiser in each room and antibacterial and viral sanitising products to wipe down surfaces, sofas/seats after client, door handles etc. This is done after each session
  • All rooms have windows for fresh air and adhere to two meter social distancing
  • COVID-19 Practice Procedure; A step by step guide as to how to work safely as possible in the practice
  • Re-usable face shields available for therapists. If you plan to use one of our face shields, you will have one to keep as your own which you can take home to wash and reuse.
  • The practice throughly cleaned and disinfected every week
  • Social distancing signage to reinforce safe practice
  • Waiting area: clients are encouraged to arrive on time to go straight to the therapy room
  • Kitchen facilities for individual use only not for communal use
  • Toilet facilities when used we ask all surfaces to be wiped down by clients and therapists. Including washbasin taps. Individual hand towels to be used as normal cleaned and replenished daily
  • An draft agreement between clients and therapists regarding C19 symptoms that can be adapted and shared with clients

Members


The Aashna Membership aims to offer flexibility to therapists and their private practice. After COVID-19 regulations unlimited ad-hoc bookings at a rate of £14/hr in our beautiful Nordbhan and Nakuru rooms. As we are working with COVID guidelines at present, Aashna members are able to book ad- hocs in the resident rooms as well as the Nordbahn and the Nakuru if you so wish to do so. However, if someone wants to book a slot in a resident room, we will give you first option to take the slot or give you a week’s notice to move to another room or time. £179.00 annual membership includes the following benefits:

  • Consultation on private practice
  • Listing on our Google optimised therapist website page
  • Annual in house CPD – two-day experiential and explorative workshops on a range of issues exploring diversity and intersectionality
