What is a Men’s Group? How can it benefit me in my personal development?  How can I join, found or facilitate a Men's Group?

  • Are you interested in joining a Men’s Group and want a taste of what it might be like?

  • Are you thinking of setting up a Men's Group?

  • Do you want to learn to facilitate a Men’s Group?

Paul and Andy, long time Men's Group advocates will be holding a workshop exploring men's groups in partnership with Aashna on Sunday September 15th, 2019.

Men's Groups have been a deeply rewarding experience for many men over the last few decades. Today, more and more men are interested in the ways such groups offer a different experience of being with other men, creating a safe space for men to talk of their personal lives, their emotional worlds and their relationships with others.

This experiential Men's Group exploration is for all who self-identify as men of all backgrounds, inclusive of sexuality, race and gender.

Plan for the day:

11.00-11.15 am      Arrival and introductions

11.15 - 12.15 pm    Presentation and discussion: how do Men’s Groups work?

12.15 - 1.45 pm      Two experiential groups, facilitated by Andy and Paul

1.45 - 2.30 pm        LUNCH

2.30 - 4.00 pm        Feedback from experiential groups and discussion on joining and setting up Men’s Groups

We have space for a maximum of 16 men. Book your place

Aashna will provide refreshments, tea, coffees, biscuits and fruit and a vegetarian Indian lunch on the day. We ask you to bring £5.00 in cash to contribute to the costs of refreshments and lunch. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements on the registration form.

There is no specified fee to attend but we ask attendees to make a donation to Aashna+ https://www.aashna.uk/aashna-plus via our GoFundMePagehttp://bit.ly/supportaashnaplus to support funding longer-term, low-cost service for people diverse in race, culture, social background, religion, sexuality, age, gender, disability and other diversity, who may otherwise struggle to access therapy.
